Removing all Vista files from Windows7

Just upgraded from Vista to 7 a couple weeks ago. Very pleased with how smooth everything is. ive only had one complaint.

I had to completely wipe my system since it was only a 16bit system in order to use the 64bit so it didnt keep all of my files and folders the way they were. they placed all the documents into the folder "Windows.old".

Now my question is, how do i go about deleting that folder and ALL of its contents? ive deleted most, but now the last 16GB in the folder (which is the reason why im trying to delete it) all require "permission" from either "TrustedInstaller" or "System".

Id love to get these old vista files out since they take up 16gb. how can i go about doing that? this windows system doesnt run off those files does it?

    Hi.

A Clean Install would have been your best bet, but see the above link for how to remove your Windows old folder.
