Help Installing 32-bit Win7 on Second Partition

My laptop originally came with a 64-bit version of Vista and I recently upgraded it to Windows 7 64-bit Home Edition. I have Pro Tools LE and an Mbox 2 Pro (it's for music recording for anyone unfamiliar with it), but they don't have a 64-bit version. I've been trying to install the 32-bit version of Windows 7 on a second partition I created, but I have no clue how to do that. Can anybody help me out?

    amcmahon94, welcome to the forums.

    This should help,

Dual Boot Installation with Windows 7 and Vista

That is for 7 and Vista but the same applies. When you get to step 3B, just select the partition that you created and install the 32 bit version there.

    Welcome!

Have you tried installing the program? Maybe it will still run.

If you need to install the 32-bit version, first, buy a 32-bit license key: Newegg.com - Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit 1-Pack for System Builders - Operating Systems

Then follow these instructions: Clean Install Windows 7

Let us know if you need help!

Wow! Thanks for all the advice. My firewire hasn't been doing so well, and I can't install protools without having my Mbox plugged in. I'm going to go out and get a new one as soon as I can and try that new beta for protools.

Oh, never mind on the firewire issue. Just reread that article and I'm not suppose to have the Mbox plugged in. I'm going to try it out now and see how it goes.

How can I delete the second partition I created? When I right click it, the delete option is shaded.

Did you actually create the partition or is it still unallocated space which can't be deleted?

If so, please post back a screenshot of your Disk Management drive map, using Snipping Tool in Start Menu, attach file using Paper Clip in Reply box.

To emphasize what was touched on by JK, you can install 32 bit software on a 64 bit system. It will be placed in the 32 bit Program Files folder. On many user's 64 bit systems, much of the software is in the 32 bit folder anyway.
