Could I dual boot?

I have two HDs, each about 70 gigs. My C drive has Windows 7 build 7100 on it and am wondering if I could use my D: Drive to install Windows XP. If I could, what do I do, run Windows XP setup and select my second HD to install Windows XP on? I don't know much about dual booting.
