Two Taskbars on Install? I just installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and when it first booted up, I had 2 task bars. Is there a reason this is happening? Anything I can do to fix it short of reinstalling? | My System Specs |

open command prompt (run as admin) and type:
sfc /scannow
If that doesn't help, try a repair install. If that still doesnt work, then do a new install.
I have never seen this before...

Don't know if this will work, but try opening task manager and killing explorer.exe and restart the process manually and see if that solves your problem. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HP Pavilion dv7-1261wm OS Windows 7 Home Premium x64 CPU AMD Turion Dual Core X2 RM-74 Motherboard Compal 30FD (Socket M2/S1G1) Memory Elpida 4.0 GB (2x2GB) DDR2 @ 399MHz 6-6-6-18 Graphics Card ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 Sound Card IDT High Definition Audio Monitor(s) Displays 17" HP LCD Display @ 1440x900 Screen Resolution 1440x900 Hard Drives 500GB Western Digital Internet Speed 6.0 Mbps Down .5 Mbps Up |

Neither worked. Reinstalling now. One of my friends just told me it could somehow be a HDD issue. I'll try another one if it happens after this install.

Searched google, similar to your problem but not the same. Why Do I have 2 taskbars (Screenshot)?
I suggest you download CCleaner and scan for corrupt or most likely duplicate registry files, and then run a full scan with Malwarebytes.
If neither of these work, this is one confusing issue
I think the only other possibilities is that it is a corrupt installation, or a pirated version of Windows has gone wrong. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number New Laptop! - Samsung RV515 OS Windows Seven Home Premium SP1 CPU AMD E-450 Dual Core - 1.66GHz FSB 800MHz Memory 4 GB DDR3 Graphics Card ATI Radeon HD 6470M 1GB GDDR3 Sound Card Integrated Monitor(s) Displays 15.6" ClearCrystal Display Screen Resolution 1366x768 Keyboard PS2 Mouse TouchPad Case Notebook Cooling Stock Hard Drives 1 Integrated 500GB hard drive

SOLVED: The problem was with my RAM. I had a bad 2gb stick. When trying to install with that stick inserted, or with a 3rd stick that didn't have another to complete the dual-channel setup (i have 4 ram slots), windows would install corrupted. I was kind of 'forcing' the install when i used a usb stick. My bad RAM forced a corrupted install.
That bad stick also causes my AMD display driver when using it with a good install, in case any of you are having problems with that. RAM actually causes all kinds of problems that can seem unrelated. When i searched for corrupted installs, or the 0x80070570 error, absolutely no useful information came up regarding RAM, but it makes a whole lot of sense. All that information is passed through the RAM so corrupt RAM can easily lead to corrupt installations or failures altogether(like the 0x80070570 error).
I have no explanation for that other user who discovered his with a computer he bought, other than that his installation may have been corrupt as well. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom OS Windows 7 CPU AMD Phenom II X4 965 Motherboard MSI 790FX-GD70 Memory 8GB G. Oh and i forgot to finish my thought. When i was searching for possible solutions to my 0x80070570 error, as i stated before, RAM errors didn't appear as a solution anywhere. But after i searched for RAM errors having discovered that as my problem, i found a long list of problems, even 0x80070570, that bad RAM can cause. Someone on the interwebs needs to make the connection, i feel i may be the first =-P | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom OS Windows 7 CPU AMD Phenom II X4 965 Motherboard MSI 790FX-GD70 Memory 8GB G.
