Cannot Move Page file off of Boot Partition

Annoyingly, Win7 HP x64 is not letting me move the page file to a dedicated partition I created for it at the head of my storage HDD. When I try to set the file to the new location and eliminate the default page file on my SSD's boot partition, I get a Windows error message saying there was a problem creating it and that Windows has created a temporary page file. I have been able to resize the boot partition's page file to 100MB but would rather it be 1024MB on the dedicated partition. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for the input.

If it is on the same HD as the OS it really doesnt matter where is is located. If you must have the page file first you are going to have to take ownership, and running as admin move it from cmd prompt.

Thanks Ken. I want to move the page file off of the boot partition on my 40GB SSD and onto my storage HDD because space is at a premium on the SSD. My user account is indeed an administrator. Would you be able to give some direction as to how to do this with cmd prompt, then?

TIA for the help!

How to move Page File From C: Partition to another Partition ?
I am trying to keep the size of Image Files as small as possible. I'm told that it helps to keep these files from getting too big if I move the Page File away from the drive being imaged - in this case , my C: bootable drive. I'm not sure how to do this and would appreciate some advice in this...
