having problem when formatting windows 7

hey guys mind i ask you something about format windows 7?
well i have a motherboard intel desktop board DG41RQ, 2.4 GHZ pentium dual core, 2 GB DDR2. I'm now using windows xp service pack3. In the last few days i want to format to windows7 ultimate. But while it was formatting my motherboard reboot and appear a blank screen and i can't do anything. I've tried to restart so many times, but the result still the same. Is it any solution??

Well I'm hoping that you're simply overlooking the need to instruct your BIOS to boot from the installation disk. However, if you've done that then you may have more serious problems. The first thing to do would be to remove your ram, reinsert it and be sure that you're working off AC Power if you're on a laptop.

Does the computer work with Windows XP? If so, you should update the BIOS.

Start by telling us the process you went through to start formatting. Then we can go from there.

I would unplug any other HD's before proceeding.

Boot into Win7 DVD, press Shift F10 at bootup, or choose Repair my Computer and open a Command Line from Recovery Tools list, then type:

    DISKPART
    LIST DISK
SELECT DISK 0 (confirm this is targeted HD)
    CLEAN ALL
    EXIT

Now return to Install Now, use Custom>Drive Tools to Create New partition(s), format before install.

If you cannot boot DVD or proceed from here, then run memtest86 CD test at least 6 passes to test memory, and run full CD scan of your HD repair/diagnostics from here: Hard Drive Diagnostics Tools and Utilities (Storage) - TACKtech Corp.
