Welcome to SF!

First, set your hard drive to be the first in the boot order, in your BIOS.

Then manually boot from the USB drive, using the popup boot menu (often F11 or F12).

When it restarts, it should automatically boot from the hard drive.

Thnx... but i tried that also ...didnt worked...i made my harddisk as primary boot device , then manually booted from the usb disk... it also didnt do any thing... Actually as when we install any os from cd or dvd it asks to "press any key to boot from cd or dvd"..but in this case it never asks any thing it just says "booting from usb disk" and starts setup.

any solution for this?? i used kingston data traveller 2.0 4g and made it bootable using Ulra iso 9..

Okay, let's go through it. You boot from the USB stick, and start the installation. It gets near the end, then restarts. Then it automatically boots from the USB drive again.

Stop me is that is not correct.

What happens of you manually boot from the hard disk, after the reboot?

Also, try method 2 of this tutorial to create a bootable thumb drive. Maybe something got corrupted. USB Windows 7 Installation Key Drive - Create

from the beginnng: method 1 : i made usb as primary boot drive in bios saved settings, turned off, inserted usb in netbook , switched on the netbook it and it just says,"booting from the usb disk " ,without asking me for prssing any keys(like it asks in other os instalations with cd or dvd). the installation process starts, asking for various options like the drive where i want to install it... it had already copied all files , expansion starts and ends successfully.. THEN IT SAYS IT IS RESTARTING..AND RESTARTS AFTER 10 SECS. THEN AFTER RESTARTING IT STARTS AGIN... I HAVE DONE IT 12 TIMES... PLZZZ HELP

METHOD 2: made my hdd as primary .. manually booted from usb(f12) ...after all procsess it restarts and gives error...

plz plz help.

What error does it give you when you manually boot from the hard disk?

Also try creating the USB installation key again, this time using method 2: USB Windows 7 Installation Key Drive - Create

One last question: where did you get your copy of the installation media?

The flash stick is autostarting.

Try setting HD first to boot, then remove flash stick at point of shutdown during first restart.

Do you have the latest BIOS update for your model computer or mobo?
