    System Center Configuration Manager 2007

SCCM, or ConfigMgr 2007 for short...
Has anyone had any experience with this?

Amongst the other stuff I'm working on, getting this one going has now been given a deadline :-s so everything else is on hold...

Current issue at the moment, is that the ccmsetup.exe fails to install.
It loads a service, which then turns itself off, even when manually restarting it.
I should be expecting some control panel items to show up, but they're not.

The server side, is all up and running and can see every machine and user in our domain. The server is not the DC, AD, DNS or DCHP. Its sole purpose is for configmgr.
    Virtual Server, btw.

Tried running ccmsetup.exe from the network share, command prompt with parameters, and via a .cmd script.
It just doesnt seem to run, except for the service mentioned above.

    Any pointers, or advice?

I'll be looking into it all day today, so I'l post results everynow and then incase anyone else has the same troubles.

As it turns out, you do need the latest Windows Update Agent.
    Then run
    Code:
    ccmsetup.exe /source:"D:\SMSETUP\CLIENT\"
Go make yourself a coffee. Talk to someone about an RX7.
Come back and it should then be installed.
What I didnt do yesterday when I tried all this was talk about an RX7...

Will attempt to get the client configured, and communicating to the server, and will post more.
