Windows 7: Best way to install Win 7 x64 on 1TB HDD with 2x mirror

Hi

What would the best way to install win 7 x64 on an Asus Gene M/b on a 1 TB HDD using the 2x 250gig drives as a mirrored backup pair??

I have not succeeded in installing the OS using the "RAID" parameter in the BIOS without the pc freezing on reboot to a black screen and a flashing cursor...

Basically the bios picks up the 3x drives, then in the raid cong util, acknowledges that 1TB drive is in the RAID config but as stand alone. the 2x 250gig drives are in mirror and were previously called "rebuild" as there was a corruption in one of my various attempts in installing the OS.

Anyone have a good method to performing this install??
