7 build 7100 messed up grub upgraded from 7077

ok as stated for some reason when i did an upgrade from 7077 to 7100, my grub menu's completely gone no more is it there. I know that partition's there it's just for some reason 7 decided to say oh no no more will you have the option to boot to linux probably a plan by M$ to screw over people who jsut want to do an "upgrade" into doing more work but oh well. So what's the plan now? Do i have to do a complete reinstall of ubuntu to get my grub back or is there a simpler fix?

Simple fix add it too the bcd, i recommend EasyBCD
or VistaBootPRO - Dual Boot Windows XP or Vista with Windows 7

Easy bcd site is having difficulty's you can download here Download EasyBCD 1.7.2 - An advanced GUI application that makes it easy to modify the Windows Vista bootloader and the entries in it - Softpedia

    Edit: EasyBCD site now working.

Some GRUB menus aren't exactly MBR friendly either

Seriously though, if MS installations override other MS installs on the same machine, what chance do you think Linux has?

    +1 EasyBCD

You could also use the LiveCD, boot into Linux and restore the GRUB that way. Although you'll have to add Windows to GRUB boot menu, otherwise you'll lose access to Windows...
