install problems

I have been trying to do a clean install of windows 7 with no success. I get through what appears to be a clean install on a formatted disk and windows7 comes back with an error message about an unexpected reboot and that I basically need to start over. I have tried 32b and 64b versions. This is a new system build and I have also replaced the mother board, all with no success. It seems to fail when trying to install services (as defined by MS within windows 7). Any ideas?

thanks

If Jonathan's checklist doesn't solve your problem, then please post back the exact text of error message so we can help you better.

Or you can type it into Google as we will do to find out how others have solved the issue.
