    Multiple OSs

    Here's the deal.

I'm attempting to reformat and reinstall Windows 7 on a friends Dell Inspiron 1750.

The issue I'm finding is that upon install, I'm seeing 3 partitions. "OEM (Reserved)" - 39.0MB, "System" - 14GB, and "Primary" - 284GB. OEM and System can not be deleted or formatted.
I install the OS on the "Primary" partition. After the installation, on bootup, there are 2 Windows 7 OSs to choose between.

What is this second OS, and how do I get rid of it?

    Thanks!

The easiest way is to boot from the dvd format the drive then do a clean install of win 7.

Well, the issue seems to be solved. The first clean install did not help, but the second (same exact process) apparently did.

    Go figure..well thanks again!
