    Boot from Mirror (Dynamic Disk)

Okay I converted my boot disk to dynamic, and a secondary drive to dynamic.
I added a mirror, it synched up and now I have a mirror set... lol

How do I add a boot option to boot from the mirror if needed?
I knew how to do this in XP/2003 with the boot.ini

I've tried system properties and msconfig, I can't find anyplace to set it up.

Why Microsoft didn't just make this an option in disk management years ago I'll never know...

    Thanks,

    Kenny

I'm having the same problem. My boot partition is mirrored, but I can only boot from my first drive (not the second drive that I mirrored to). Strange that Windows doesn't automatically make the second drive bootable when you create a mirror of your boot partition.

I've gotten as far as btdedit, but still haven't figured out what needs to be done.

Give Easy BCD Beta 2.0 a try, makes it much easier. You can/should backup the settings before making any changes. Note that this DOES NOT backup the MBR. You can use a program like MBRFix to do this.
