Here's the guide on how to do a clean install of Windows 7.

Remember to back up first. Good luck mate!

google "HashTab", install that, right click your file, go to the "hash" tab... paste in the MD5 hash value.

adr3n - Some thoughts:
  • Did you unplug all non install-critical hardware prior to the install?
  • Have you tried alternative isntallation media. Perhaps borrow a windows 7 disk rfom a friend, or download the USB version.
  • Is your DVD connected via IDE, SATA or something else? (we may change the physical location on the motherboard prior to install)

You can use memtest86 bootable CD to test RAM better than in Windows.

Try also swapping out sticks, and removing all but 2gb.

Test your HD with maker's diagnostic/repair full CD scan: http://www.tacktech.com/display.cfm?ttid=287

Do you have the latest BIOS version update? Check your computer or mobo maker's Support Downloads webpage for your model.

While in BIOS check the SATA controller setting. Try AHCI first, then IDE if neccessary.
