    Good day all,
Currently my PC running Win7 ,,, i`v got Win XP SP3 CD
I would like to install "overwrite" the Win7 O/S

I tried via BIOS to Boot from CD and in fact it did ask me to Press Any Key to boot from CD,,, but after few minutes blue screen comes up says ,, did not find any hard disk in my computer !?!

    I`v got C and D
Windows7 currently installed in C and remaining space is 207 GB
D disk is just 10 GB and currently empty

Get into your bios settings (You'll need to tap F2 or DEL on boot or may be some other key depending on your system), then change the SATA configuration from AHCI to IDE/ATA. Press F10 to save changes, exit. Now try to install XP. Make sure your computer is set to boot from the CD drive as the first boot device.

    Dear,
Just for my knowledge and understanding

What SATA & AHCI >> IDE/ATA stand for? and what are they use for?
I just need to know,,, its nice to do any changes in your personal PC with knowledge instead doing with-out!

Because when i was in BIOS the system was telling me the factory default setup must AHCI ... but i was not really understanding this option or this part of system config!!

I thank you very much for your help and support once again .... :) appreciated
