| | Program installer placing wrong shortcut in quick start Hello I'm new... is this the right place for a dev. type question? Agh well... The installer for my product uses Windows Installer MSIs, and this has worked OK under Xp & Vista. Under Windows 7 though it pops a shortcut in the quick launch area of the start menu. Now our installer actually does a suite of programs and puts 8 or so shortcuts in the correct place in Start->Programs. Why it consistently chooses this one shortcut to go in the 'special shortcuts' section we don't know. And it's the wrong item... screen shot attached. |
