    Hope it will help.

    Perhaps someone can help me.

My hard drive monitor informs me that my IDE Hard Drive is only running at UDMA2, when it can run at UDMA5. I guess I need to upgrade my IDE controller, but I cannot seem to find any updated drivers.

I have been to Motherboard's site (Foxconn Support - Download), but the only one that seems to have any relevance changes a SATA controller to a RAID controller!

I am sure that my BIOS is configured correctly.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

I know it is probably not a good idea, but is it possible to move my Win7 system HDD from old PC (which is dying) to new PC, which has better processor, RAM etc?

I am thinking that if I uninstalled all hardware before shutting down the system, then putting the drive into new PC it might work.

Just really looking for all your thoughts, ideas and suggestions.

    Thanks,
    Paul.
Since you have Windows 7 already why not pick up a second license and install it on the new PC then tell 7 it's the new PC, it will let you place the dick in the old PC and give you a key to enter then it will transfer all your files (works great with wireless) this way you only have to install software on the new PC in advance and all docs, MS software files, photos, email accounts in MS Outlook etc all transfer, took 3 hours to move 75Gb when I did mine.
