    Task Scheduler

I did an in-place upgrade from Vista to Windows 7 Home Premium. I now get an error message when using Task Scheduler:

"An error occurred in task Reminders-Sherry. Error message: The specified account name is not valid."

The new folder name is: C:\Users\Administrator\

I think the old Vista name was: C:\Users\Sherry\

    Please help. Thanks

    Welcome,

This is the advice that 99% of the membership will give you. Do a clean install, upgrade will be nothing but trouble.

I agree with rich. Upgrading rather than clean install is fraught with possible problems.

Since reinstalling doesn't answer the question, I'll try to do so. First, go to the windows\system32\tasks directory and start looking around. See if you can find any rogue tasks that were set up for the user "sherry" and then delete them. You can right click on the filenames that are enclosed in {} and select properties, then details, to see what user owns them.
