    No display after installation

    I have HP M9180

Tried inatalling RC 7100 into separate partition.

Goes through full installation with no apparent problem.

On restart however all I get is a blank page with

Windows 7 Evaluation Copy Build 7100

    in bottom right hand corner.

Mouse arrow is there but nothing else.

Tried runnning repair and message is there is nothing wrong.

    Any suggestions?

Hello CaptainKirk, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You may just have a bad installation. You might see if doing another clean install may work better for you.

    Tried 3 times; same thing.

I noticed that I get progress report until about 3/4 way through then screen goes blank until the reboot.

You could have a bad installation DVD. See if burning a new copy of Windows 7 to DVD using the lowest burn speed may let it install better.

    hello Captain Kirk,

Ive had this problem 3 times, but the ways we got this error is diffrent, i got the same screen because i used an incompatible registry cleaner.

Point being, i never fixed it until clean install.

I advise, as does Brink, to obtain yourself another installation.

Appears that my problem was related to the NVIDEA driver.

I had second monitor connected but not powered on, when disconnected it then 7 installed correctly.

One of first updates was a new driver for the graphics card a 8800GT.

Now seem to be up and running.

    Thanks for your help
