I did the bios reset though
    Still no dice.
But I don't know how to set my bios to AHCI. That could be the issue.

    1. Did you get a 25-character Product Key? Did the DVD come in original packaging?

Do NOT put the key into your post. That's what costs the money and not the DVD.

    2. Ikahn:
Update your system specs to best of your abilities.
Your present entry there is a joke and completely useless.
Don't forget to enter the manufacturer of the computer and the model.

    3. Once you get XP installed, then the first order of business is:
Run the Upgrade advisor: Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor - Download - Microsoft Windows

There is no sense in trying to install Win 7 if the advisor says you have serious problems.
Include the Advisor report in your next post.

    ====================
    That's three points.

    Carry out all three.

    OK thank you both

All 3 win7s I bought came in orig packages. I know the key Is what you pay for lmao. The other 2 installs I did with the other 2 copies worked fine...no problems at all. I just finished installing win xp sp3 I'm going to get my internet setup then I'll do the upgrade advisor and report back.

    1. Bought 3 copies from Newegg.com. The windows cd's/keys arent the problem trust me.

    2. The txt file is from speccy it should give you all the info you need. If not ask me for more :]

    3. I downloaded and ran it. Says I have no problems really. I dont know how to save it so i can upload it here. Will a screen shot suffice?
