Dual Boot Win7 & XP

I have Windows XP installed on Disk0 Part. 1 SATA and Win7 on Disk1 IDE.
I also have a second Win7 on Disk0 partition 4
The DUAL BOOT worked well for a while but recently I get errors at boot and I have to run the repair option from the Win7 CD. It then works but after a few boots I get the same error.

I have fixed it several times with EasyBCD 2.0 Beta. It works off and on !
Sometimes I reboot several times and the dual boot works !

This intermittent error is driving me crazy ! Any ideas ? Thanks

Are you using the built in repair function or with the CD loading it? If you are using the internal repair I suggest booting with the CD and then do a repair installation which will find all your OS's and reassemble the startup screen which will be:

Windows (the last Windows 7 installation)
Windows (the older Windows 7 installation)
Older version of OS (your XP partition)

The best Dual Boot config when on separate HD's is to use the BIOS boot order to set the preferred HD first to boot, after DVD drive.

Then if you want to boot the other HD, use the Fkey given on first boot screen for one-time Boot Menu.

If you want to set it up this way, then post back a screenshot of your full Disk Mgmt drive map so we can give you the steps.

I checked with Malware, all is ok.
I've done repair several ways.
The manual boot order works but is not practical.
It has been working ok for a couple of days. I am beginning to think it might be hardware related.

Check your HD.
Disk Check

Check with a hard drive diagnostic tools.
