    Windows 7 Local Disk Default Folders


    Hi, can someone please list the default folders on a fresh install of windows 7 32bit ultimate edition "C:/ folder" please. Just want to make sure everythings in there :)

    You should be fine, but if you want you can run SFC to check the integrity of your system files.

    I only have 4 folders within C:/ ... was wondering if others who also have a fresh install of windows 7 ultmiate 32bit could also list these folders in here :)

    Well mine is 64 bit, but that only leaves one extra folder, your folders on C (I mean the Root directory not Subfolders) should be

    Perflogs
    Program Files
    Users
    Windows
      My Computer

    yeah I have those folders, are they the only folders taht are installed defaulty on a fresh install?

    I believe so, my setup is a little more convuluted, I also have a Program Files (x86) due to 64 bit compatibility. and a folder called Nvidia because I slipstreamed my Graphic drivers into the install, there is also a hidden folder called ProgramData but that cannot be seen on default settings.

    If you want to see all folders, you have to enable the hidden files and folders in Explorer > Organize > Folder and Search options > View tab.
