    Question about Reinstalling Win7

I Built my first computer last year so i'm not the greatest at everything yet. My Lacie 500 GB external pretty much died on me a week ago. Wont initiallize, Wouldn't format.

I have a 1.5 TB as my main and a 500 GB as a second hard drive.
I want to re install win7 and format the 1.5 TB. my computer has been giving me trouble lately.

So my question is if i put my important stuff onto the 500 GB and format the 1.5 and reinstall Will all the files on the 500 not be touched and accessible after install

    Welcome

They should not be touched, but I have seen the computer do some unexpected things at times. If it were my computer, I would back up on a separate hard drive. You can use this.

You can to be sure remove Data HD, when installing.
It is always good to backup your data.

    Welcome to SevenForums
When you delete then format your 1.5 just make sure that you have it selected and not your 500. To be sure this does not happen you can take out the 500 and then put it back in after the install. Good luck to you
