Trying to change OEM hardware configuration

    Team...

    I wanted to thank you all for assisting me with my issue. The final fix was brought out by Pebbly - and it was via this link - MBR - Restore Windows 7 Master Boot Record
    I disconnected the old drive, booted into the Win7 DVD - and used the bootsector command to write the MBR to the drive that housed the Win7 OS. Rebooted and all was well.

    Thanks to everyone for their help in this.

    You're welcome ChefJoseph, glad we were able to help ,although as stated by theog the startup repair would more or less acheive the same effect , thank you for posting back and letting us know the outcome
