Command Buttons In Windows Explorer ?

    Hi,

Is it possible to get command buttons such as "Copy", "Paste" and "Delete" to be available on the toolbar at the top in Windows Explorer?

The only way I can get to these now is from the "Organise" drop down menu or by right clicking a file/folder name.

there's some reasonable tweak/hack for Windows 7 but this are registry settings. Since I'm not promoting those tweaks, i can only guide you to: Registry Hacks/Tweaks

Please read carefully, you'll find the links inside the thread and enjoy the sevenforums!

Simplest way to do it is to use Classic Shell.

    Welcome to Classic Shell

I think the OP wants it in Windows Explorer instead of Internet Explorer....

    Thanks for all the replies.

It is not as simple as I hoped. I need to have a good read of the links that have been kindly provided as at first glance it seems quite technical rather than a few simple registry changes.

I am OK with simple registry edits such as the one to enable the AHCI driver, ie, change the value from 3 to 0 but this other stuff for the buttons I hope to have seems a bit beyond that level.

Welcome and take care! Remember to backup the registry or do a system restore point before any major changes
