Have you tried removing all but 2gb of RAM before install?

Next reset the CMOS: Clear CMOS - 3 Ways to Clear the CMOS - Reset BIOS
Set SATA controller to AHCI first, then IDE if neccesary.

Remove all peripherals and other HD's.

I have cleared the CMOS, I only have one 4gb stick (I've tried it in multiple slots), I've tried the HDD in multiple SATA slots, and there is nothing extra plugged into the MB

Do you have another machine you can plug your HD into, unplug any other HD's during install, then after it starts up go into Device Manager to uninstall all major drivers (SATA controller, Display, CPU, Network, Sound, etc) but don't restart just shutdown and move HD back to problem machine.

If it fails to start, try booting into Safe Mode to install drivers, or try Startup Repair from booted Win7 DVD Repair console.

When exactly does your install fail? Any error message or exact symptoms?

Initial install of win7, black and white screen "windows is loading files", as soon as the windows logo pops up for the first time and says "starting windows" system powers down.
Just tried another HDD, same issue.

No, ive just tried multiple monitors and video connections.

Something important that hasnt been address yet, is when entering safe mode it's locking up at disk.sys

There is likely no install to boot into Safe Mode. Only if it had completed install would there be.

Try wiping the HD to install: SSD / HDD : Optimize for Windows Reinstallation

Have you tested your RAM with memtest86 for 5-6 passes? Test also your HD using maker's diag/repair CD scan: Hard Drive Diagnostics Tools and Utilities (Storage) - TACKtech Corp.
