    Atapi cd install :???????????

Alright , I had this problem previously, and fixed it both times eveuntully. My problem is this , I can't install my Windows Ultimate 64 bit edition on my RAID 0 Western Digital 500GB hdd's because on the boot screen my computer keeps telling me to "Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device" , ive done both those instructions, rebooted , reinserted, all of it , no solution , i made sure my boot priority is the drive first, and raid drives after. still nothing. but this is the intresting part, last time i fixed this problem by using my previous computers dvd drive to install instead of the blu ray , it installed and everything was right with the world. BUT i have since then thrown out the old DVD drive, and now have nothing to install with.

So what i did in the past hour was used a freinds DVD drive to install , and it did not work. ,

When my System Config , is set to RAID, it calls both my blu ray and his dvd drive, ATAPI CD, when in IDE, it calls my blue ray a blue ray , and his dvd drive a dvd drive. I dont understand what is going on , i simply want to do a clean(custom) install of my windows 64 bit on my two RAID 0 HDDs, ive checked the boot priority , ive put both hdds in RAID0, and ive also used someone elses dvd dive to try and install , what is going on , please help. soon , im missing my games LOL... ( I am 14, so please excuse the poor spelling or grammar in this post),

I have no experience running a RAID configuration, so I don't really have a solution to the problem.

Have you tried installing from a usb flash drive? Here's a useful tutorial on how to do so. I prefer method two in the tutorial. No third party software is needed.

Are you wanting to reinstall from an image backup, or from a Windows disc?

disc . too my RAID 0 hdd's. i belive it has something to do with that my BIOS keeps recognizing my Blu Ray as an "ATAPI CD" , and when in IDE mode, it Recognizes it as a BluRay

If you're simply doing a clean install from a Windows 7 installation disc.

A 4gb flash drive is large enough to copy the contents of the disc on to.

It is normal for some bios to refer to a DVD/BluRAY drive as (ATAPI CD ROM)
    Nothing to Worry about here.

Where are you getting 20 and 64Gb from??? Win 7 should be just less than 4GB (at least for Home Premium x64)

Im confused... are you trying to do a clean instal with the original Win7 DVD
    OR
Re-Image a previous Image of the set up (like with Acronis or Macrium?)

If it is a Image you burned to a BluRay disc, you will need to boot your machine from the rescue disc you created from which ever program made that Image. I/E Acronis, Macrium, paragon whatever.

When it asks for the Image location, then insert your Bluray Disc that contains the image and point it to the CD Drive again.

As far as the iso, it may depend where you got it. But if you got your copy from somewhere such as the MS Store, you can DL and burn it as much as you want. Im not aware of any 1 time limit.
