i can boot from disc and install in IDE mode, would i be able to install those drivers in the IDE mode os install screen then swap back to RAID, and drivers would still be there, or are the drivers erased because of that?
Are any of your Mac's Intel Macs? Or do you have another computer to try booting your Windows 7 DVD from? I would like to verify that the Windows 7 DVD does boot.
im currently typing to you on a Intel Core 2 Duo Mac in my kitchen owned by my sybling.
but like i said im able to boot and install in IDE mode, just cant seem to boot in RAID.
Does your computer keep the RAID if you switch the BIOS to IDE? If it does then that will work. If when you switch to IDE if forces you to break the RAID then you will not have RAID in the install. You will not be able to change to RAID after the install. (Well you can but it would be way beyond what I could type in this forum)
okay so i should swap my bios setting to IDE, even though a intel matrixthing says i have a raid setup.. if this still allows me to install , i should do what? , will there be an option of the windows installer which says i can install the drivers before even putting windows 7 on?
and if there is i put the drivers on swap BIOS back to RAid, and then attempt to boot and install in BIOS RAID , and Intel Matrix RAID MODE?
i actually mentioned earlier that i borrowed my freinds plain old DVD drive hooked it up and tried to instal in RAID , and it did not work , i figured this meant my blu ray was not an issue, it was something else.
I think at this point your best bet is to use someone elses computer and make abootable Windows 7 USB drive. Then you can boot the USB Windows 7 and do the install. I will get the instructions and post them here.
