Can I have a button on my desktop that will back up.....

    certain folders that I choose?

What I want to do is create a desktop shortcut that will enable me to backup the contents of 2 folders in my user folder. I was wondering whether it is possible to record some sort of macro or similar that would enable me to do this. I have tried to use the windows back upbut it uses nearly all the DVD even though the folders only hold about 800MB of data. I also want to just be able to press the button on my desktop to perform the operation, and the reason I don't want to have to go into the actual folders is because I will forget how to do it.

I use Nero for CD/DVD burning. For your case, in Nero, you can create a CD/DVD burn using "Nero Burn" and select the two folders to be burned to a disc. You can then save the project and the next time you want to save (backup) the two folders to a disc all you have to do is click on the project icon (and that can be located on the desktop) and it will automatically startup Nero Burn and allow you to burn a new disc of the current contents of the folders.

That does the job I want but I don't want pay for it, there must be a way of creating a button on the desktop in Windows.

I was already using the back up and restore feature and it was using practically a full DVD to back up 800MB of data, so Iwas looking to see if there was a button I
could create that would just copy and paste the 2 folders that I wanted on a DVD.
