    Am i doing something Wrong?


    I've been spending a few hours trying to install Windows 7 and every time the installation seems to go smooth
    once thats all done my computer restarts and the screen is all black exept for

    "windows 7
    evaluation copy, build 7100"

    and thats it i can move the mouse but thats about it
      My Computer

    I've seen this on here before. Your desktop is probably on another monitor. Wait for Baarod to come and help you with this one lol. I think he says to do something like hit windows key + left or right arrows.

    Can you bring up the task manager with ctrl-alt-delete? Is explorer.exe running?

    ctrl alt delete does nothing and as far as i know explorer is not running

    if i restart the computer and try running in Safe mode it Says windows 7 is setting up for 1st time use

    but then id get an error message Saying it cannot Set up as its in Safe mode

    Sorry for the double post but...

    the oddest thing happend
    out of habbit i turned my computer into sleep mode when i got that black screen again
    cam back and turned the computer back on and i seen the rest of the set up

    Then once that was all done i had to change the monitar setting becuase it thought i was using two monitars O_o


    anyway my problem is no more
    and everything is going smoothly so far
      My Computer
