Well, lets hope they replace it for you. Thats what the warranty is for after all.
btw, the blue screen of death is caused by a hardware failure , right ?
Not always, but it can be either software or hardware problems that cause BSOD (Blue Screen of Death).
I think in your case it is. If you still get them after getting a new HDD then head over to the crashing and debugging part of the site. They will get you sorted.
they just called saying there is nothing wrong with the HD ;\
i'll go to them tomorrow morning and talk to them , but i already know that they won't trust the seatools results
so is there any program from fujitsu's or toshiba's official website to test the HD ? so i can show them than program's result ?
if not ... what are the best HD's now
because i'm not buying the one that the workshop is selling ;\
You should have already used the Fujitsu diagnostics, which is what I thought you already did to get the error code. If you get the error code you mentioned earlier, there is a problem. The person from Dell didn't even look up the error code (to my knowledge). He immediately told me it would need replacing.
Personally, I like Seagate drives at the moment, but most people are recommending Western Digital these days. Most other brands seem to have higher failure rates.
yes i used the Fujitsu diagnostics, but can i downloaded from the official website ? that would be a big help:)
What you downloaded was from the official Toshiba web site. A couple years ago Toshiba bought the hard drive devision of Fujitsu, so now all of the technical support and warranty claims go to them. You can read more about it online at various sources.
There is no other official test available, nor will there ever be.
this might sound stupid
but after entering the site sdd.toshiba.com
where do you go to download the tool?
because i want to show them that this tool is from toshiba's official website.
