Windows 7 on a Pentium M?

I have an older laptop with Pentium M 1.6 GHz, 1GB RAM, an Intel graphics card on the mobo.

I am having trouble sharing files with a box with 64 bit Windows 7. Someone said it's better to have the same OS.

Is it possible to run 32 bit Win 7 on the oldie (of course, with Aero off)?

Thanks!

What OS is on the Pent-M & how did you set up the sharing ?

Also wired or wireless router connections ?

Have a look at this to solve your file sharing problem: File Sharing - Between XP and W7 (and vice versa)
And you can run Windows 7 on the oldie - it will be no barnstormer, but it should run. To make double sure, run the Windows7 upgrade advisor.
