    no device drivers found

    Hi
i bought a new dell inspiron n 5010 and i have downloaded windows 7 professional(64 bit) from the MSDNAA account and burned the image on the DVD.

In the bios of my laptop i set the sata mode to ahci

when i try to install windows 7. it loads file completely but after install and next button click a dialog box appears with some message as

"No device drivers were found. Make sure that the installation media contains the correct drivers, and then click ok."

That message gives me 3 buttons: ok, cancel and browse, neither of OK and CANCEL would let me through the install, and with browse i have tried to find those missing drivers but without succeed.

    what should i do?

What were the options in BIOS and why did you change them from default? This may be as simple as getting a driver and putting it on a cd for when you install.

Ahci is for The Advanced Host Controller Interface (AHCI) is an application programming interface defined by Intel which defines the operation of Serial ATA host bus adapters in a non-implementation-specific manner.

Run at least one bootable CD scan of the entire system: FREE Bootable AntiVirus Rescue CDs Download List

Make your Recovery Disks if you want a path back to Factory condition.

Make sure you have the latest BIOS version update and in BIOS setup set the SATA controller to AHCI first, then IDE if necessary.

Now boot the Win7 DVD to wipe the HD before reinstalling: SSD / HDD : Optimize for Windows Reinstallation
