win 7 on two different partitions same hard drive

I had installed win7 on one partition and it went bad for some unknow reason so I created another clean partion and installed win 7 on it. I also added partion for music, pictures, etc. Now the question is how do I get rid of the first version since it was giving me the BSOD. It boots as though I have dual boot but the second one listed it the one I would like to get rid of leaving user files intact.

I know that you can copy and save user files with this. Good luck to you.

The best way would be to backup with W.E.T.& than do a clean install.

Clean your HD with this tutorial:

    Reinstall with this tutorial:

If you have Win7 "go bad for some unknown reason" then post here to ask for help sorting it out. To create a second partition to install again makes a lot more work for you.

If you don't want to take theog's advice to wipe the HD to clean install, then post back a screenshot of your full Disk Mgmt drive map and listings, using SNipping Tool in Start Menu.
