Newbie Advice?

Hi all,

Recently I have bought a new design Mac Mini and have installed BootCamp for Windows 7 access to allow me to install Windows Media Center and MediaBrowser.

I have a PlayTV device which I use to record and watch Live TV via Windows 7 Media Center. When I watch Live TV (FTA - Australia) I can get all the main stations, minus SBS/GO/7TWO etc. How come on my other Digital TV it can pick up these other stations perfectly fine, but when using Windows 7 Media Center all I get is a blank screen? Also, If this helps at all. When using Arcsoft TotalMedia I can pick up all the stations that W7MC says it can't pick up.

Also, when I schedule a recording the show record's perfectly fine even on the stations that don't work on live view (which I think is weird).

When I am in the built in TV Guide after scanning for new stations, no new channels are picked up. The confusing thing is, the stations that it has picked up including the one's that don't work still appear on the TV Guide.

I am also having an issue where if I am watching the nightly news on a station and it run's late W7MC ends the recording when the show is men't to finish, thus ending the recording. Is there a way to force extend the scheduled recording?

Thanks in advance,
CG20.
