Windows 7: Icons for Media Browser

Hi guys, I thought I would put together a thread here for you guys so I can share a MASSIVE collection of icons I have created for Media Browser.
In this collection I have several styles to choose from and icons created specifically for Movie Boxsets and for TV Show Collections.

I will also post my Photoshop Actions and psd's used to make all the icons. So if you like the set and want to add to it, you can do so very easily and they will come out EXACTLY as I intended.

This first set is my Movie Boxset Collection.
This collection was dreamed up by my friend from the MB Community, BigArrickSon and I, and has grown to it's current size due to overwhelming popularity and our love for the community.
We have three styles to choose from and over 350 icons in each set.

Ok, On to the TV Show Icons....
I have over 1000++ Shows done and in the Downloads and will be happy to take any request for new shows needed to complete your collection.

If you would like to have a insert of your choice, please provide a link from the tvdb directly to the enlarged image on the tvdb. Don’t just link me to a page of backdrops and say “I want the 3rd one” I appreciate it. :]

If I'm missing a small handful from your shows, I'll consider doing them. But because where talking about seasons, and some shows have LOTS of seasons.
I dont want any more then say 5 show request per user visit. And please try to keep request visits to like once a month per user.
That way I dont get totally slammed doing these things.

In this section I am going to give you an inside look at seeing how the icons found here in my thread are made.
I am going to provide you with everything you would need to easily reproduce any of the icons I feature in these tutorials.
With the hopes you will return the favor by sharing your creations back with the community.


These download packs are all going to include a custom made automated Action.
An Action is a PS tool that will allow me to record my self making a icon.
Then I can give that recording “Action” to you, and you will be able to playback my actions and build any of my work with your own art in the icon.


Note:These Actions will only work on a English installation of Photoshop!!!


There will be a MANDATORY set of folders included in the download that you must place in your C:\ Drive for everything to work right
That folder is. C:\Photoshop Temp
To turn on the use of Actions, click the Window button at the top of Photoshop, then check off Actions.
That will open the new Actions command window.




I have detailed instructions for each action included in the downloads as well as the download page it's self.

TV Series Icons Action(s) UPDATED!!

I have updated the TV Series Bundle so you now have a choice as to which icon you want to create and use.

In the download pack, there is now four actions to choose from.

1. TV Series Icons Bundle
2. TV Series Film Strip Icon
3. 2D TV Series MBTV Icon
4. 2d & 3d TV Series MBTV Icons

Just install the one (or all) action(s) you want and away you go!

Demonseed i thought i would add this update you very kindly made for me the other day for all those tinkerbell fans.
thanks for the photoshop action hopefully i may be able to make my own at some point

If anyone would like to request any custom icons for Media Browser, dont be afraid to ask!

Or would like to request a new icon action, to make a totally new collection. I'll be happy to take your ideas and turn them into something you can see and enjoy!

The Pre view png convinced me...that just looks awesome. Theme already changed to chocolate.
Downloading the Film strip set now They go into the appr. Show Folders replacing the folder.jpg right?

Yep exactly.

You can use the batch files I have under the TV icons to do all the renaming of files.
Just drop each corresponding icon into the show folder... repeat until all folders have a new icon, then run the batch files I provided.
Done.

The batch files will scan your folders and rename the folder.jpg to folderbkp.jpg (so MB wont use it) and then it will rename the new icon to folder.png

Supper Easy!! Enjoy!!

EDIT! I just noticed the Preview image is actuality in Simplicity, not Chocolate! Opps

I'm not gonna bother you with requests but for one. please explain to me how to modify the action so that only this will be generated (apparently I have a lot of shows that are missing in your collection..if you want me to send you the ones I made, just say the word )

Give me a lil' bit and I'll shot you a modded action that will only make the film strip icon.

PS. If it's not to much trouble, I would much prefer you make ALL the styles and upload them ALL! But if you really want the solo action, your wish is my command...
