Hi all, I basically have had windows 7 since its Beta stages and i have never not even once used mediacenter now I want to I don't know where to start

basically I have spent most of the night trying to work it out and I am getting there
but I have a question i think it will be just be easier top open a thread and ask

how do i add my own cover/ artwork to movies? I know Yammm is there but it wont allow me to add my own stuff.

what the most popular combination of software to use ?
Media Browser/Yammm/ and sharks codec pack ( only asking because i want what works best .....is VLC worth trying ?)

I would be grateful of any advice of anything am missing here

I like Shark Codecs, it works on Media Player too. Besides those that you have mentioned, the only thing else I can advice you is to get a full background theme for Windows Media Center cause it helps enhance the feeling.

I personally dont use media centre to show my movie collection ,I use a plug-in for wmc called Mediabrowser. once you have gotten a few things organized it will display all your movies with coverart it will show movies by genre you can have the actors photos and by clicking an actor it will show you the movies you have by that actor ,these a just a few things media browser can do and once you use it properly you will never look back.
    Look at this thread here

Name the coverart ,"folder" it should then show up in mediabrowser. if you have media browser questions or problems then posting in the mediabrowser thread will get more people responding
.you may want to try using a metadata capturer like media centremaster which will download the details of the film and also backdrops and coverart
