How can i get a TV signal?

    Hello Win7 forums!

    I recently bought a hauppaugeTV HVR-2210 TV tuner card w/ a remote.

However, I didn't realise that I had no antenna socket in my room... which means I'm not getting any TV.

I wondering, would anybody have any ideas of how I could tune in? (other than using the internet). Re-wiring my house isn't an option, and I have an antenna plug downstairs, and i don't mind spending the odd $100 if something else is needed.

    Thanks,
    Artem

You could try an indoor digital antenna, some are very good, well should be good for $100 ... Good luck !

Do you have cable or just an antenna? If you are just trying to get OTA channels there are some decent powered indoor antennas.

You did not mention what kind of TV tuner you have. Or, do you have cable TV in your house besides antenna???

We have 3 televisions at home, one of which is my computer and we use cable splitters. I have with me a TV cable connection for the tuner and it has a TV cable jack and that is where I plug the TV cable. Its looks like you will need a wire that would connect you to the antenna plug you have downstairs. Be wise to buy a splitter for cables too.

You need a good indoor aerial for it to work. Make sure it has an amplifier and the ability for you to manually adjust the signal strength.

btw Vertex. The first thing he mentions is the type of tuner he has

one way is to plug the tv-card into your external aerial socket to tune the channels, then use an internal aerial, and move it around to find the best place.
