Wells i´ve had my computer for a while now - about 6 months. For until like a month ago my Media Player was working fine, then all the sudden it decided to not add the songs i played into the music list (im sorry if this seems confusing but i don´t have an english version). I´ve tried diffrent ways to make this work but can´t seem to get it working. What to do? D:
I would suggest opening up WMP 12, going to Tools --> Advanced and then click on "Restore Media Library..." and then restart WMP to see if your music starts showing up.
It works but then i get like 2-3 of each song that was there before i did it
had this same problem last night (oddly enough). Whatcha do is:
1) Open start, type in "services.msc" Hit enter. A window will pop up
2) Look for a service called "Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service"
3) Double click on it, and hit the 'Stop' button.
4)Open Explorer, and type "%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Media Player\" into the address bar. hit enter.
5) there will be a few files in there. DONT DELETE. just in case. Move them somewhere else e/g: documents.
6) reboot/logoff.
7) Fire up WMP and everything should correct itself. It should add all your tracks. without dupes.
Forgot where i found this tut. i just foot noted it, for future use. hope it helps
There is no need for keeping those files, nor a logof/restart. Just make sure WMP is closed during this process.
