When computer awakens from sleep mode, WMC has muted everything

Hi everyone, I have an HP laptop with Windows 7.

Every time I awaken the computer from sleep mode, everything is muted (if WMC was running at the time the computer went to sleep). The only way I can get the sound to come back on any application is to shut down WMC.

I have checked the manual mute button on the keyboard, and opened up the Windows speaker icon and looked at the mixer and everything looks normal. I have updated the audio drivers in the device manager.

I would like to start up the computer with its remote control and watch recorded programs on my Samsung TV (using HDMI cable), but I have to go over to the computer and shut down and re-start WMC to have any sound.

Can anybody think of any other settings I can check?

Does anybody have even the smallest of an idea that I can try?

Mine does the same most of the time. I find that clicking the mute and then releasing it seems to bring my sound back. Hope one day to have enough time to try other things. GL
