Portable Apps. Trying To Open In Media Center

Hi, I use A USB stick for portable apps. I clicked wrong thing and now trying to open a couple portable apps. I downloaded. Windows Media Center is now trying to open these files (my fault). How do I stop this. I don't need a program to open these portable apps. but now the set up has Media Center trying to open anything I send to USB. How do I get rid of this problem, make Media Center go away and have nothing set to open files. Tried what I could think of, but can't fix. So now USB stick is useless. Thanks!!!! Lame mistake I know.

Have a look whether .exe is associated to the Media Center here:

Control Panel\Programs\Default Programs\Set Associations.

I assume the filetype of your programs on the stick is .exe.
