OK if it doesn't do it, we need to find a way to rid your clips of the DRM stuff
in that case try the Todvr-ms, I linked in the other post...it's freeware . TMPGenc never had problems with dvr-ms files.

Not dvr-ms to AVI you don't have dvr-ms yet

    tiger dr hd.dvr-ms
Here is the file converted with todvr-ms. It cannot be played with sound
I must say that I'am most greatful to SledgeDG for all his effort to find a solution. Strange that not even MS can burn a WTV file recorded from MPEG4 channel.

Seems the only way would be not to use MCE for recording. My capture card does analog channels only so I'm pretty much outside the door here.
Try google for tv recording software...I'm looking at SageTV right now.
You need to find a soft that works with your equipment and offers decent output formats.
    Good Luck.

    Yep SageTV does the trick....
Good news: it's use is close to WMC( programmable recordings and all), it saves the clips as mpg (of course incl. Audio
Bad news: it's discontinued and it's not freeware just a 12 day trial.

There's got to be another good TV recording soft.
