PlayReady in Windows Media Center

when i first time using WMC, i was asked to choose a country, then something like PlayReady is dowloaed (it's 1.3 version when i check the add/remove dialog). is that PlayReady related to the country I chose? (I chose Thailand which is not the country i'm located in, just for fun)

PlayReady is a Digital Rights Management (DRM) from Microsoft for portable devices. It would only be an issue (you choosing Thailand) if there is a region blocking issue, such as many DVD's have. It may well not cause you any problems, but if you ever get region not allowed errors with WMC, you will know why. I don't believe you can change this locale once set, unless through some, unknown to me, registry hack. A Guy
