    Media Center ?

    I am using windows 7 64 bit.
When I open the Media Center I get a notice that it has stopped working.

    Any Help?

Could you provide a little more info? When was the last time you installed windows updates? Have you changed anything in your system recently? Or did you just turn on the computer one morning to find WMC not working?

    Media Center?

    All window updates are installed.
I never tried to use Windows Media Center until the other day.
It opens fine on my wife's laptop.
    Thanks

What about system specs? What other programs do you have open at the same time and do you use any other media centre software?

    Thanks for all your feedback.
At this time I am going to give up til Microsoft comes up with a fix. Since I never tried to use I guess I don't need it.

    Thanks Again

Then why did you post help here if you're just going to give up easily? You do realize that the more details you gave us the more better chances of we can help to resolve your problems with WMC.

The whole point of this forum is for users to help when ever possible no matter how big or small the problem is.

    Just keep it in mind.

    Media Center

I am using a Gateway FX6801 e computer with 3 gig ram. No other programs are open. I often use quicktime player.
I opened a file today that required Windows Media Player to play and I have no sound but do get the picture.

What other info do you need?

    Thanks
    Wayne

What kind of file was it? You said it required Windows Media PLAYER to play? Are you having problems with Media Player or Media Center?

    Sorry.
My problem. I was trying to play a quicktime movie through media player.
Media Center still does not open.
