So far I've tried InterActual and Corel WinDVD 9 Plus, and neither will function on Windows 7. I have two computers with Blu-ray drives that I upgraded from Vista to 7 with the assumption that the above vista BD software would work on 7. That's obviously not the case, so what programs do still work on Win 7?

Corel WinDVD is a must-avoid as are most of their products. They have especially draconian DRM measures that are a nightmare to rid a system of, once infected. So far, the best solution is Cyberlink's PowerDVD Ultra. Currently at version 9. Until Orion's DirectDVD 9 is available (version 8 is fantastic and leaps above the competition - but it does not support Blu-ray), it's the only player for Windows and it does work well under 7.
Okay, so I downloaded the free trial of PowerDVD 9, and it works great! Would you mind answering two more questions for me?
1. What's the chance that something between builds 7100 and RTM will break the program, and Cyberlink will decide to charge for the compatibility upgrade?
2. Does PowerDVD have a DRM that would prevent me from using one license key on two computers (both for personal use)?

PowerDVD and WMC seems to be my favorite so far... although its really annoying compared to player choices im used to...
I remember reading that MS and Cyberlink were "working together" so to speak for Blu Ray playback in W7 at the last CES Show. Though MS will not have native playback, it will behave as it does now. Google the subject for more on that part. As for "breaking" in order to charge more, I believe that is "off the table". What is it, like $80-90 for the license as it is?

You should try Arc Softs blu ray software
Around $90 for a license. Power DVD's alright but I prefer this one to Power DVD.
I'm using the official release of 7 (7600) 32 bit from technet and PowerDVD 7 Ultra works fine. I've never had any problems with it at all and can recommend it. I only have it installed on one PC so can't answer your question RE: DRM

Yep, BD and HD. My understanding is that HD support is not continued with the latest version of PowerDVD, which is why I haven't upgraded.

Holy Crap - I thought it was only with 8 and 9 that BD was supported. I know I have a license for 7 somewhere that I never used....
