Humax Foxsat problem

I am having problems with my Humax Foxsat HDR.
Last night I was recording 2 programmes and there was a conflict because of another programme I was watching.
So I put the Humax on standby so it would still record and switched over to the TV.
Now I cannot get back to the Humax, I bootup the box but the normal startup caption for Humax does not appear on the tv screen and it just goes to normal aerial tv.
The Humax box is displaying the channel captions ie BBC1 etc and if I press the channel button it goes through the programs but the tv does not display them.
I tried pressing the PVR button but nothing happens.
The same with the Source button.
Only the TV remote works.

Also if I press Menu the word menu appears in the Humax window but nothing on the tv screen.
I would like any suggestions on this.

Thanks
jack

Hello Jack

Did you get the telly to work?
I was thinking of buying a Humax box but, I defered until April cos of Freeview...
Sorry I know nothing about your Humax box...
Although you could try the old way of Just switch your box off at the mains for 30 seconds and then switch back on. Then have a look...

I sent the Panasonic back, went into PC World liked the look of the Samsung UE32C6000 explained the problem I was having with the Panasonic (which I had not bought there)
The salesman said bring your computer in with the external drive and your HDMI lead and we will check on the samsung you like.
I took it in he plugged in my lead selected the HDMI port on the TV and presto there was my pc desktop on the TV, no bother whatsoever.
Next plugged my hard drive into a usb port and its contents were displayed on the TV.
They will not be in stock till next week so I am awaiting delivery.
I was told the only thing I will have to do is set the resolution on the TV.

In any case thanks for the help I received.
Regards
jack
