Locked Files by Media Center

Windows Media Center locks up my Windows 7 laptop so I no longer want to use it. It has put locks on nearly all of my music files. How do I remove the locks? Can I do so without opening Windows Media Center?

Actually, just found a safer and an easy way. Can't believe I didn't think of this before. In Windows Explorer, I'm right-clicking each folder and selecting "Share With" and then choosing "Homegroup Read/Write". The lock disappears!
