Will you be using a tuner card?

I don't think I need one. I don't subscribe to cable TV service (just internet). Unless there's something I can get by plugging the coax cable in (besides the 3 or 4 free local stations).

Mainly I want to access the movies on my PC hard drive as well as access to sites like Hulu and whatnot.

Oh duh, speaking of which, I forgot to add a hard drive:

    HITACHI Deskstar 7K1000.C HDS721010CLA332 (0F10383) 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

When all said and done....take some pics and post them. I would like to see that in action, maybe take a video of it running a movie and in surrond sound, then upload it to youtube.

That is what a tuner card is for...local stations, not cable. Whether you need a tuner card or not depends on whether you feel that you may find something worth watching on one of those stations at time. Remember, that with the proper card (plus antenna) you can record programs (movies) and store them on the computer. Once you pay for the hardware, everything else is free.

It is for cable as well, for the unencrypted channels.

If you aren't going to game on this machine, don't use the 8800GTS card, since all you will be doing is making the box hotter and louder.
