HD from computer to TV

Is there someone out there to end my headaches?
I am trying trying to setup my Samsung ue32c6000 hdtv to my packardbell iExtreme 6620uk Desktop PC via an HDMI cable to one of the HDMI sockets on the TV.

First I downloaded the latest Geforce driver for my pc from the nvidia website which was the 266.58 for Windows 7 64bit.

My graphics card on the PC is a nvidia GT 220 series I have went through the complete proceedure detailed on the ividia website, which was:

With both machines on select the source hdmi socket you are plugged into on the TV.
Right click the PC screen and select nvidia control panel
2 displays are shown the pc monitor and the samsung TV, select the samsung
The PC desktop now appears on the TV underscanned
When it appears click change resolution
Then select resize desktop
Now a green screen appears on the TV with arrows in each corner
There is also 2 sliders which you move to get the arrows right into each corner
This all worked upto here fine
Now you press the o/k button
The PC desktop now appears on the TV exactly the same size as it was before, nothing has changed.

I know this card works on this TV as I seen it demonstrated with the same PC connected to the same TV
in the store where I bought both the PC and the TV, I have been back to the store but the guy has since left and he was there only tech specialist.

Any offers or is it more co-codamol.
