I was trying to hook up my TV to my computer to watch live TV but kept getting stuck on "IR Hardware Not Found". I researched and found out I had to have not only an IR blaster cable, but also a coaxial cable hooked up directly to the back of the box (used to have a cable coming straight in from the satellite). I finally managed to hook my computer up to my DirecTV box with a splitter, found my old IR blaster cable from back when I bought the computer (3 years ago) and hooked everything up. It had worked, I got past the "IR Hardware Not Found" screen. Then when it got to the channel changing page, I couldn't make the Media Center remote change the channels. It would type out the numbers to the channel I wanted on the miniature screen, but it wouldn't actually change the channel. I tried relearning the remote codes, moving the IR blaster sensor on the box, choosing different options on how to change the channel, even telling my computer not to use the full memory. Nothing was working. I looked at the IR box that is hooked up to the computer and realized that the IR blaster cable wasn't pushed in all the way. I thought OMG I'm such and idiot, so I pushed it all the way in and tried again. Now I'm stuck at the "IR Hardware Not Found" page again. What happened and how do I fix it?!
